The TEI safe house is more than shelter, it is a home built on care, solidarity and community. Here, transmasc individuals facing displacement or danger find safety, comfort and a place to breathe. With your support, we continue providing stable housing, daily nourishment, vital essential and compassionate support to those who need it most. Together,we keep this sanctuary alive.

More than a shelter, it serves as a community hub for healing, creativity, and empowerment. Residents engage in economic empowerment projects such as beaded jewelry, art, and photography building both skills and independence.

Trans Empowerment Initiative is a collective of queer and trans youth mobilising to address our right to political education, health, wellness and housing in order to mitigate the challenges that leave us vulnerable to systemic oppression.

Our Nairobi-based safehouse provides a temporary shelter where trans/gender non-conforming individuals can live free from violence, experience autonomy and fully express their identities.
